Canvas displays it in Landscape because the photo really is in landscape.Ĭanvas does not have any built in ability to rotate photos so you'll likely need a program on your computer to do that. In other words, I think your photo really is in Landscape but your computer and/or phone knows to rotate it when being displayed. In my own mind the image has meta data telling systems to rotate it, but not every system can read that meta data. Is this a photo you took with your phone perhaps? I've found that sometimes phones will have images or videos even in a certain orientation when taken that display correctly on phones and certain computers, but not when uploaded to other systems.
